Zebras Unite: Vienna Chapter
The ZebrasUnite is a grassroots movement of Zebra founders, funders, and friends.
But what are Zebra founders? And zebra startups?
In the past, we identified that Zebra startups stand for “profit and purpose and they don’t sacrifice one for the other”, today we have gone a step further and come to realize that this is not specific…or enough. The goal of the new economy must be shared prosperity.
For us, identifying as a Zebra founder means understanding the multi-layers of development that are interplayed daily in our lives. We cannot create a business that stands for just one thing anymore. Especially in a such a fast changing and turbulent 2020. Therefore, we must recognize how personal, community, gender, social, environmental, climate, political and global relationships and systems interact and must advance together.
The Austria ZebrasUnite community is dedicated to helping each other and contributing to an entrepreneurial world full of purpose, kindness and cooperation.
We are focusing on building a new movement and mentality, creating a mindset that will bring us forward to redesigning the businesses for the future.
The Vienna Zebras started their journey in 2019 with small community meetings and has been organically growing– it is clear there is need for a space to meet, discuss and do for Vienna entrepreneurs, investors and activists who are looking to change the existing venture capital driven startup culture.

Asetila Koestinger
Asetila Köstinger is an innovation economist, a community builder and an impact entrepreneur based in Vienna.
She is the founder of the GoodStartup School -and WeDO5 a global virtual incubator that aims to help women and underrepresented communities worldwide to build tech and non tech impact startups and also of the Vienna SDG Innovation Lab -an accelerator-like for SMEs.
Asetila speaks, trains and writes regularly about the implications of inclusiveness, impact and innovation in sustainable entrepreneurship.
She was awarded the European Good Practice Award in training in SME Internationalisation by the ETF European Training Foundation in 2018.
As an impact entrepreneur and CEO she runs her two companies -Greenwell Energy and Koestinger International Consulting both aligned with at least one of the SDGs. For over a decade she has worked as a consultant and expert in different SME projects, private ventures and start-up ecosystems.
Asetila holds a Master of Science in International Business, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and is prospective Ph.D. in International Economic Relations and Management.
