Arizmendi International Gathering (Americas) 2021

(9 a.m. PDT | noon EST | 6 p.m. CEST)

On this memorial day for the founder of the Mondragon cooperatives, Fr. Josemaria Arizmendi, an international group of cooperators will celebrate his life, his achievement (especially his founding of Mondragon), and his legacy, as exemplified in the rising social and solidarity movement worldwide.

The program will include:

  • short readings from the new translation of Arizmendi's Reflections;

  • a video greeting from Australian cooperators also hosting a celebratory event on this date

  • speakers from Mondragon and the Comparte network in Central/South America, a collaborative project modeled on Mondragon

  • other leaders in the cooperative movement working in the spirit of Arizmendi

  • presentations from leaders in the social/solidarity movement

The event is co-sponsored by Solidarity Hall and Zebras Unite, along with other supporting organizations. We will offer simultaneous translation in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
