In 2019, Zebras Unite founders met with Sam Mehoke of Development Matters, a Portland research and evaluation company (and fellow Zebra), to design and conduct a survey of the community. The results of this survey informed Zebras Unite’s understanding of Zebra identity, strengths, and values of “Truthfulness, mutualism, emergence, and fierceness “, as declared in ZU Medium post: “Pivot to People”.
